When I first begin to write any paper, I write down all of the ideas on the topic that I have. These ideas were always terrible and I rarely ever used them in the final drafts of my papers, but they were very essential. These bad ideas are brainstorms for the upcoming research paper topic. The free writing that I did before I achieved my list of insanely better ideas defiantly paved the way for it. This writing although probably some of my worst topic ideas ever has greatly helped to me strengthen my writing skill. Chapter 5 of BBG taught me that there are different ways of brainstorming. Besides the typically free writing I do, some other methods are mind-mapping and searching the internet which are both excellent ideas that I am going to take into when deciding on my topic for Project 2.
